LAST DAY TO REGISTER IS THURSDAY JANUARY 23, 2025.
Classes are: Sunday February 16, 2025 through Sunday April 20, 2025
**Multiple children discounts are given.
**Parents MUST participate with children, helping them do a portion of the work. There is marketing and advertising you will need to do beyond the course to ensure book sales. When the book is ready to be published, the parent will need to sign all paperwork. Not the child.
Each session lasts approximately 2 hours
Classes are on Sundays only
Class will meet from 4 PM PST to 6:00 PM PST/ 5 PM MST to 7:00 MST/ 6 PM CST to 8:00 PM CST/ 7 PM to 9:00 PM EST
Children ages 10+ become published authors as we guide them through the exciting process of writing and illustrating a professionally published book of their very own! (**Exceptions to the minimum age of 10 may be considered upon request, on a case by case basis, depending upon the maturity and abilities of the child.)
Students improve their proficiency in the vital skills of the writing process, including drafting, revising, editing, evaluating, and publishing, to help them shine throughout their education and, eventually, their chosen occupation.
Children will also learn how to use interesting text features, consistent verb tense, word variation, written dialog, effective pictures, copyright rules, and more.
Parents will need to work with their children AFTER THE COURSE ENDS to promote and publicize the book and other tasks related to having a book in a book store. We will discuss in class.
Fee includes the ISBN, and five printed copies of your child's book. Your child's book will be made available wherever books are sold, including retailers such as Barnes and Noble, Walmart, etc.
**Once your order converts to paid, you will receive an auto generated email with course access information.
This camp is for children who want to publish a book and earn money from their creativity. This will involve parental assistance and permissions. This will also involve some future work on the part of the parent to market and sell the book. Parents will be shown how to set up their own boutique publishing company to publish their child's works. Parents may alternately wish to have KMP Entertainment be the publisher of the work. All of this will be discussed during the course. Each year we have a number of very successful students who do so well because of the willingness of their parents to help where needed. This camp is not appropriate for children who will be left to their own devices. This camp is amazing because it helps your child learn a number of entrepreneurial skills, earn some money, and express themselves creatively.
